Description
I don't have too much influences. I know about different artists, but not ALL of them influenced my work, just some of them, but as far I see, I need to study more people to learn even more.
Influences in order of importance in my work
R. Crumb. -His taste for music, the kind of drawings I would like to achive someday (Except for some of those dirty comics; those aren't of my taste) and I feel identified with him by some reason. Learned too much with him.
Otto Mesmer. -Felix the cat was the second cartoon I knew of after Warner Bros. cartoons. Awesome comics and great cartoons. I discovered here that if I ever work in animation, I would like to bring back silent cartoons with exciting hot jazzy music for a while.
Ed Benedict. -Gosh! Just look the charm of everything he does! A master
H. Kurtzman. -My truly inspiration and motivation since I discovered his "Hey Look!" comics. He experimented a lot with other styles and stories. That's why I tend to draw different as much as possible.
Pepo. -Another guy with extreme god given talent for drawing and for punchlines.
Carl Barks. -Dynamic stuff. Fun on each panel. A genius, better than W. Disney.
Hergé. -No words for him. Superb and... GAH! AWESOME!
Nicolas de Crécy
Toriyama. -I started to draw animé and then cartooning turned on my passion for drawing, also I liked the work he did, except Dragon Ball Z. The first artist that motivated me to draw.
Jean Claude Forest. -Have you seen his brush inking? God Damn
Dave McKean.
Jay Ward. -Rocky and Bullwinkle
Rogelio Naranjo. At a beginning, back in 2005, I used to draw political cartoons but then I realized that is very dangerous in a country like this one. Naranjo has a lots of guts to still doing it, and, just see his beautiful drawings
Magú. -Another political cartoonist. He's a genious, he can make a caricature of you with a very personal and distorted style but keeping you face totally identical. Hell yeah! Also I like his lines.
Jim Davis. -Yes, he influeced me, a lot and taught me a lot about drawing comic strips.
George Herriman. -I didn't knew that you could have that fun with comics changing the layout, writing bizarre jokes and gags. My hero
Chuck Jones. -I just envy his superpowers
Carlos Nine. -He's the guilty for giving me days of depressions and felling small. His body of work is astonishing and I tried to achive that kind of drawing, but is impossible for me.
Fontanarrosa. -Comic artist from Argentina. And one of the best. Inspired me to create Seth and Poncho.
Baseman.
E.C. Segar. -No words for him as well. Just marvelous.
Will Eisner. -The Spirit and his epic "picture writing". Thanks to this genious I'm drawing my own comics now.
Jacques Tardi. -More inspiration for Seth and Poncho.
Wobert Clampett. -He did the cartoons of cartoons, that's it.
All kinds of old music from United States, France and Mexico. -Always as backgroud music while drawing. When I feel demotivated, this generation of musicians are on my computer and records to cheer me up. God Bless that music forever.

Well, actually, Gary Baseman is one of my art influences, and also retweeted some of my art on Twitter
